Our Mission
Ready Set Push believes that part of the answer to the severe disparities that exist for black women exist because childbirth education is either non existent or cost prohibitive. We seek to change that. We provide quality evidenced based childbirth education split up into all trimesters. This provides families with the opportunity to learn throughout the entire pregnancy instead of one lump sum of information at the end of the pregnancy if any is offered at all. We want to be a model that OBs, midwives, and doulas can confidently refer their patients to knowing they are receiving evidenced based information that will make the patient more confident, have less complications, and be better prepared for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. |
Board Of Directors
Kiana Ayers
RN, IBCLC, LCCE
Executive Director Kiana Ayers has a passion for helping moms and babies with prenatal education to include childbirth classes and breastfeeding. She is a wife and mother of four breastfed children. She started Mamas and Tatas in Jonesboro, GA, after having a desire to help women in her community with lactation. She quickly saw that the offering can be cost prohibitive for some families. She then founded Ready Set Push Inc offering Lamaze childbirth education for low income families and is proud to announce the first class which helped eight families this September virtually. She is happy to continue to make quality evidence-based prenatal education to all families. |
